Deploy360 Year In Review & Sneak Peek at 2013

On behalf of the Deploy360 team, I would like to thank you for an exciting first year. This public resource started from scratch in January and has since grown into a comprehensive deployment assistance destination. We could not have done it without you and we have big plans for improvements in 2013.

We started this with two important technology topics: IPv6 and DNSSEC. We wanted to go beyond describing why these technologies are critical and create a comprehensive how-to resource to help you get started. We actively engaged audiences around the globe through this online resource, social media, our ION Conference series, and by joining you at well-established technology events throughout the year.

In 2013, you can expect to see many improvements.

1) We are going to make extensive enhancements to the existing topic areas of IPv6 and DNSSEC. We are working closely with an impressive set of volunteers who have pledged to help us complete the work laid out in our content roadmaps.

2) We are adding a third topic to Deploy360 here at the end of 2012: Routing. We have big plans to help companies make their routing infrastructure more resilient by offering case studies and documenting best current operational practices.

3) We are exploring ways to increase operator feedback to the IETF and globally recognize notable best current operational practices documentation coming out of the many regional network operator group communities. We will share more information about this work in the coming months.

We look forward to making these and other improvements in the coming year. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming ION Conferences, an operator group meeting, or IETF meeting in 2013. If not in person, please drop us a note here or on social media. We would be glad to talk with you about how we can make this resource better for you and others.

Thank you again for a great 2012 and we wish you the best in the coming new year!
